The Chief Executive Officer

  • Location: Hybrid with regular work from Norwich, Ipswich and March - plus regional travel

  • Contract: Full-time, permanent, 35 hours a week (flexibility required)

Job Purpose

To provide strategic leadership, vision and direction to Ormiston Families, ensuring delivery of its mission to help families across the East of England build resilience and improve children’s lives.

Role Overview

  • Deliver the strategic plan, ensuring alignment with values, impact, and financial sustainability.
  • Inspire and lead a high-performing team, fostering a collaborative and accountable culture.
  • Drive income growth through fundraising, partnerships, and socially minded commercial activity.
  • Ensure robust governance, safeguarding, and compliance frameworks.
  • Represent Ormiston Families with credibility – engaging stakeholders, media, and funders.
  • Maintain strong financial oversight and reporting to the Board.
  • Champion innovation, digital opportunities, and service improvements.
  • Promote a learning culture, diversity, and equity throughout the organisation.
